We are excited to share that Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive have named Danielle Shuey as a recipient of the 2024 Women in Supply Chain award, which honors female supply chain leaders and executives whose accomplishments, mentorship, and examples set a foundation for women in all levels of a company’s supply chain network. Danielle was awarded for the Rising Star category, recognizing young or newer professionals (39 and under) whose achievements, hard work, and vision have shaped the supply chain network.
Danielle began her career in the supply chain and logistics industry over 13 years ago when she had the opportunity to complete a one-day contract work assignment with C.H. Robinson. By the end of her six-month tenure as a temp, Danielle had found her passion and had “fallen into” a career in the industry, as many often do.
While holding various roles, including global forwarding representative and account manager, one of Danielle’s proudest accomplishments was moving to Shanghai for two years. There, she helped scale C.H. Robinson’s Asian Pacific control tower, ensuring continuity across all control towers globally and improving the customer experience.
After nearly a decade at C.H. Robinson, she was ready for her next challenge. Danielle joined Flexport as the Director of Client Solutions, but after a year was quickly promoted to support the developing key accounts organization at Flexport. She served as Director of Global Key Account Management for a few months in 2021 before being asked to lead the company’s Chicago office as General Manager. Her scope expanded to include Sales and Account Management leadership for the second-largest district in the company. She had three director-level direct reports and an extended commercial team of 40 individuals. She was responsible for overall office leadership for an office of over 250 people and multiple cross-functional teams.
Danielle's career is marked by her profound expertise in Operations, Account Management, Implementation, and Sales/Business Development leadership. She has contributed to various tech-centric organizations in domestic trucking and global freight forwarding, gaining comprehensive knowledge across multiple modes and services. Her passion lies in managed transportation, where she excels as a strategic consultative partner in her role as Vice President of Service Delivery for clients here at Loadsmart.
Joining Loadsmart in 2023, Danielle has made remarkable strides within Loadsmart’s Managed Transportation team.
But the recognition continues. Danielle is the first woman at Loadsmart to receive such an industry accolade! We are immensely proud to have her on our team. Please join us in giving Danielle a huge virtual round of applause and heartfelt congratulations!
