Resource efficient Logistics app eliminates manual check ins and paperwork.

More then 250 logistics experts came out to a group-wide logistics Volkswagen conference. The winner of the 2014 Volkswagen Group Logistics Innovation award was Audi at Ingolstadt with their “Quick Check In” app. The geo-fencing app uses GPS tracking  to get checked into plant docks quick. The app connect the plant with the load via GPS tracking. The truck is then tracked in three locations (50k, 20k, 3k) so the truck comes according to the plant’s disposition logistics schedule. When the truck is 3km away from the plant the app automatically changes the truck’s  status from “in transit” to “in plant”.

Allowing the truck to check in smarter and load and unload without have to wait for approval at the entry gate.
