CKCVR Annual Fleet Study
The main point discussed was the effect of the driver shortage on what fleets are planning to buy in 2015. With less drivers then desired, they will not be needing as much equipment. The survey was given to 66 fleet operators. Some of the survey’s main topics were new technologies, brand preference, driver shortage impact and replacement parts.
Fleets want safety, driver recruitment, and fuel economy technology.
More fleet demand for 13-liter engines with more fleets ordering fuel efficient engines.
Growing fleet demand for driver comfort equipment and adaptive cruise control.
Almost half are ordering automated manual transmissions.
