Loadsmart’s Opendock is First Dock Scheduling Solution to Join RedwoodConnect Platform

CHICAGO, Feb. 13, 2023 – Loadsmart, a freight technology company, announced its cloud-based dock scheduling solution, Opendock, will be the first appointment scheduling software to join Redwood’s integration solution, RedwoodConnect^TM. Opendock allows a facility to schedule appointments and manage docks in real-time to improve efficiency and reduce dwell time, and currently serves over 3,000 warehouses with 600,000+ appointments scheduled every month. 

As shippers are asked to up their game to meet rising customer expectations, many transportation leaders are looking for answers in new technologies, but the complexity and cost of integrating new solutions into existing infrastructure puts ROI in jeopardy: “Customers who have incumbent technology or legacy infrastructure often struggle with: ‘I want to buy this solution, but how do I get this product to fit into my system we use to handle shipments?” said Loadsmart's SVP Partnerships and Corporate Development. “This partnership brings Opendock to these customers in an easy and convenient way so they can more efficiently schedule and manage their docks, improving their overall logistics operations.”

Opendock & RedwoodConnect Integration

Nearly 75,000 carriers are using Opendock to schedule appointments at facilities, providing true real-time service data for inbound and outbound carriers, cutting down on costly wait times while reducing inefficient backhauls, and allowing Enterprise Shippers with multiple warehouses to benchmark their efficiency. As the first dock scheduling solution compatible with RedwoodConnect, Redwood customers who complete the integration will for the first time be able to seamlessly schedule and manage their dock operations with these carriers within their Warehouse Management System. The integration allows for the creation of an appointment on the Opendock side which is matched against the shipment reference number on the WMS side.
